Basics of CSSD
This module introduces the structure and function of the Central Sterile Supply Department, focusing on zoning, workflow, and safety requirements. It provides a foundational understanding of how sterile services operate to maintain infection control and support clinical areas.
Handling & Processing Instruments
This module provides an in-depth understanding of how contaminated instruments are handled and prepared for sterilization. It explains the principles behind safe transport, careful inspection, and proper assembly, and describes how appropriate packaging materials and loading practices contribute to sterilization effectiveness and patient safety.
Sterilization & Quality Checks
This module explains how sterilization is achieved and maintained in CSSD, outlining the scientific principles behind the process, the safeguards that confirm its effectiveness, and the standards that preserve sterility. It also introduces key quality assurance practices that ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.
